This painting depicts Calendula- a plant with a gentle, healing spirit. 
Yet, don’t underestimate this plant’s abilities! In herbal medicine, Calendula is a deep 
healing ally from the outside in, and also from the inside out. Calendula is a 
deep tissue and wound healer, both internally (healing digestive or 
intestinal wall lining), or outwardly as a skin healer for scrapes, bruises, abrasions and cuts. It is very anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial 
on contact for the skin or gut. Calendula also aids the lymphatic 
system in detox processes.
 
It can be used infused in oil or salve for healing a wide range of 
skin issues. In tincture form, Calendula is an excellent gentle detox herb.
 
In an energetic sense, you’ll find that Calendula is always shining 
with bright, sunny energy, and it almost always uplifts anyone’s mood.
